About the company

A Canadian business financing company found Shephard Marketing through a ChatGPT search. The client asked us not to name them.

They were already spending on paid ads with another agency. They believed in the ads. They didn't feel they were getting enough back, in results or in communication.

01 / The challenge

They wanted a partner who would actively manage their ads, talk to their team often and connect marketing results to what was happening in sales.

Our audit found the ad account appeared to have gone about six months without meaningful changes or optimization.

02 / What we did

Rebuild the ad account

We didn't just take over the old campaigns. We rebuilt the Meta account with new campaign structures, audiences, offers and angles.

Campaigns now cover every stage: new business owners looking for funding, warmer prospects and retargeting, and high-intent opportunities. We keep testing new messages instead of letting campaigns sit.

Work with the sales team

The bigger change happened after the lead came in. Every new lead goes to the CRM and a salesperson is notified right away.

We work with the team on speed-to-lead, accountability, follow-up and the pipeline. Their feedback on lead quality shapes what we change in the ads.

Shorten the path to funding

Next, we're adding dedicated landing pages, automated booking and more follow-up. The goal is to get qualified business owners talking to sales, and funded, faster.

Inside the system

Leads are only half the job.

The ads had to bring in volume. The sales handoff had to make that volume count. Two campaigns did much of the heavy lifting.

Largest campaign

Business funding offer to a broad set of business owners, at approximately $24.46 per lead.

1,057leads
Broad acquisition

A second acquisition campaign, at approximately $25.88 per lead.

426leads

Both campaigns are part of the 2,217-lead total for February–September 2026. Results are leads, not funded deals.

03 / The outcome

2,217 Meta leads

Generated by Shephard Marketing's Meta lead-generation campaigns from February through September 2026, across cold, warm, retargeting and business-funding campaigns.

About $31.90 per lead

Blended cost per lead on approximately $70,730 in Meta lead-generation spend.

1,057 leads from one campaign

The largest campaign produced 1,057 leads at about $24.46 each. A broad acquisition campaign added 426 leads at about $25.88 each.

Marketing and sales, connected

Salespeople hear about new leads faster, lead handling is tracked, and sales feedback goes back into the ads. The client reports some of its strongest months for leads and sales during our work together.
